Octine Ingots are smeltable items that double as a method for creating fire in The Betweenlands. In addition to being smelted, they can also be found as Loot from chests in Idol Head Statues, Shrines, Cragrock Towers, the Wight Fortress, and the Sludgeon.
Smelting Recipe[edit | edit source]
|Octine Ingot + 0.7 XP (Item output can be doubled with Limestone Flux)||Octine Ore + Any fuel|
Crafting Recipes[edit | edit source]
|Octine Ingot||Octine Nugget (9)|
|Octine Ingot (9)||Block of Octine|
Igniting[edit | edit source]
As Flint and Steel cannot operate in the Betweenlands, an Octine Ingot can be used as an alternative for creating fire. This can be done by holding right-click on either a placed or dropped block of Moss, Cave Moss, Lichen, or Thorns (or the corresponding dropped Plant Item or Ground Item) with the Octine Ingot. The ingot will cause the plant to slowly build up flame until it turns into a fire block, without consuming the ingot in the process. This process is essential for getting an Infuser started.
Healing[edit | edit source]
Octine Ingots can be fed to tamed Emberlings by right-clicking them, healing them back to full health.
