Not to be confused with Swamp Water.
Stagnant Water is a liquid that generates occasionally in small pools underground in the Lake Cavern layer. It can also be found as part of the Wight Fortress, and is left behind when Broken Mud Tiles are broken.
Physics[]
Stagnant Water acts similarly to vanilla Water, and flows at the same speed. However, it cannot create infinite source blocks.
Decay & Stench[]
A player or mob will receive the Elixir of Decay status effect for 3 seconds while swimming in Stagnant Water, rapidly draining Decay over time. Additionally, the player will be afflicted with Stench.
Drowning[]
Stagnant Water will begin drowning players and mobs that are completely submerged in it, after draining their breath meter. It deals 2 damage () per drowning tick.
Tar[]
Upon contacting Tar, Stagnant Water will form Solid Tar.
Collection[]
Stagnant Water can be collected with a Weedwood or Syrmorite Bucket.
